The Method

Future tech loses on explanation, not technology.

AI products get lost in a category flood. XR hardware has to re-educate buyers on what the experience even is. Biotech products land in regulatory ambiguity. Quantum launches have to explain why anyone outside a research lab should care. Neural interface products face 18 months of market confusion before a buyer can articulate demand.

Blazon starts with explanation. A structured positioning exercise defines what the product is, what category it sits in or creates, who the buyer is, what the current alternative is, what the single clear benefit is, and what the proof is. That output becomes the source of truth for every downstream asset — Kickstarter page, investor deck, tech press embargo, demo script, Product Hunt launch, conference talk.

Our Process

Four Phases From Positioning to Category

A repeatable process across AI, XR, biotech, quantum and neural interface launches.

01

Positioning (3-4 weeks)

Category definition, buyer articulation, analogy development, proof construction. Output is a positioning document every asset inherits from.

02

Build (6-12 weeks)

Website or campaign page, investor deck refresh, press materials, video and demo content, content calendar, Product Hunt page.

03

Launch

Press embargo drops, founder interviews, Product Hunt if scheduled, conference talk if aligned, community activation.

04

Category (90+ days)

Sustained content, speaking opportunities, podcast tour, follow-up press, conference bookings, partnership outreach, fundraise support.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What future tech categories do you work in?

AI, XR (VR/AR/MR), biotech, healthtech devices, quantum computing, neural interfaces, space tech, consumer robotics, autonomous systems, emerging sensors, edge compute and deep-tech hardware. If it is too new for most agencies to position, it is probably in our lane.

We're not launching a product yet, we're launching a company. Does that fit?

Yes. Roughly 30% of our future tech engagements are company launches where the product is still in development. Positioning and narrative work translates directly. PR, investor comms and category-building apply the same way.

How do you handle technical complexity?

We structure explanation layers. Technical audiences get technical depth. General press gets analogy and benefit. Buyers get outcome. Investors get market and moat. Every asset is pitched at the right technical level for its audience.

Does your crowdfunding experience apply to future tech?

Partly. For consumer-facing future tech (XR headsets, AI hardware, consumer robotics, wearables), crowdfunding is often the right launch event and we apply the same playbook that has delivered $120M+ raised. For B2B and deep-tech, crowdfunding usually does not fit and we run launch through PR, paid, content and direct sales channels instead.

Can you support fundraising?

Launch and fundraising typically align. We help with launch-aligned deck refresh, category narrative that works for non-technical partners, and funding announcement timing. We do not broker investor meetings directly, but we make sure the launch creates the inbound conditions that drive investor interest.

Do you work with Horizon Europe or EU-funded projects?

Yes. Michael Raven is an advisor to Horizon Europe. We have run launches for EU-funded deep-tech projects and understand the specific communication requirements including grant acknowledgment, consortium comms and public-facing translation.

What does a future tech launch cost?

From $15,000. Full launches typically $25,000–$150,000. Future tech launches often carry higher positioning and PR scope than consumer tech, which scales the engagement. Scoped upfront with a fixed project fee. Talk to us about your launch.
