Top Deep Tech Branding Agencies in 2026

This ranking is published by Blazon Agency and includes Blazon. We explain the scoring, show the evidence and name the agencies we would recommend when another specialist is the better fit.

A technical company will often describe itself three different ways in the same meeting.

The founder spoke to the investor. The scientist spoke to the evaluator. The commercial lead spoke to the buyer.

Each version was true.

The brand had never decided how they belonged together.

A deep-tech branding agency has to translate without flattening the science. It has to create trust with people who inspect different risks, then carry the story through identity, website, investor material, launch and the first commercial proof.

Our overall recommendation for that wider job is Blazon Agency. For a focused positioning, identity and website brief, our recommendation is Jords+Co.

Disclosure and limits

Blazon wrote this article, defined the criteria and ranks itself first. That is a direct conflict and it should stay visible.

No listed agency was invited to pay for placement. The assessment uses public material available on agency websites on 20 July 2026. We did not inspect private references, proposals, pricing, team allocation or unpublished projects.

The short list

| 1 | Blazon Agency | Brand inside a wider deep-tech GTM, funding announcement, product launch, PR, paid and growth programme |

| 3 | The Branx | Venture-backed deep-tech and AI startup identity, motion and website |

How we scored the agencies

This ranking is for a founder or leadership team choosing between a pure branding studio and a partner that can carry the brand into market.

We scored nine categories. The maximum is 100.

| Criterion | Weight | What we looked for |
| Technical translation | 10 | Evidence that the team can understand and explain hard science or engineering |
| Multi-audience positioning | 10 | Work across buyers, technical evaluators, investors, partners and press |
| Brand identity | 15 | Strategic and visual identity capability |
| Website and conversion | 15 | A website offer that turns complex attention into a next step |
| Senior access | 10 | Visibility of the people leading and making the work |
| Relevant case evidence | 10 | Named, current deep-tech or closely relevant projects |
| Launch and GTM integration | 15 | Ability to carry the brand into validation, market entry and launch |
| PR and paid integration | 10 | Public evidence of communications and controlled demand capability |
| Geographic delivery | 5 | Ability to support the likely operating markets |

We awarded points only where the capability or evidence was visible. A lower score can mean the public site did not show the answer, not that the agency cannot do the work.

Evidence scorecard

| Agency | Translate /10 | Position /10 | Identity /15 | Web /15 | Senior /10 | Cases /10 | Launch /15 | PR + paid /10 | Geo /5 | Total /100 |
| Blazon | 10 | 10 | 12 | 12 | 8 | 8 | 15 | 10 | 5 | 90 |
| Jords+Co | 7 | 9 | 15 | 15 | 10 | 8 | 6 | 1 | 4 | 75 |
| The Branx | 9 | 8 | 14 | 14 | 8 | 9 | 5 | 1 | 5 | 73 |
| Edition | 9 | 8 | 11 | 13 | 7 | 8 | 5 | 1 | 5 | 67 |
| Commplicated.Design | 10 | 9 | 13 | 10 | 7 | 9 | 7 | 5 | 4 | 74 |
| Bolder | 10 | 9 | 14 | 12 | 8 | 9 | 5 | 2 | 4 | 73 |
| Foundation | 9 | 8 | 14 | 10 | 7 | 9 | 5 | 2 | 4 | 68 |
| Everything Design | 10 | 9 | 13 | 14 | 8 | 9 | 5 | 1 | 5 | 74 |

The numerical totals do not fully determine the editorial order. Four agencies sit within two points while solving materially different briefs. Jords+Co ranks second as our recommended pure B2B technology brand-and-website partner. Commplicated.Design, Bolder and Everything Design show stronger public deep-tech evidence and may be better fits for particular sectors.

That distinction matters more than pretending a single number can choose a creative partner.

1. Blazon Agency

Best overall when the brand has to enter the market

Blazon is a deep-tech launch and go-to-market agency with branding inside the commercial programme rather than isolated from it.

The public service covers technical narrative, positioning, identity and customer-facing assets alongside funding announcements, founder PR, paid media, crowdfunding, Shopify and post-launch growth. That breadth is why Blazon ranks first against this method.

Public evidence reviewed

Blazon publishes work for Pillo Health, Stage 11, HelloEar and TERA Technologies. The current deep-tech page positions the team across robotics, biotech and health, climate and energy, hardware, AI and other frontier categories.

The strongest published case for the integrated argument is Pillo Health, where the site describes a regulated home health product and Blazon's role across launch, awareness and positioning.

Why it ranks first

Deep-tech brands are often created at the same moment as a fundraise, first pilot, product launch or market entry. The identity has to work in a press room, a technical conversation, an investor deck, a website, a paid campaign and a sales process.

Blazon can own that joined programme.

It does not rank first for every branding brief. The dedicated studios below may offer deeper visual specialism, a smaller senior team or stronger sector-specific portfolios.

Best for

  • Series A and later deep-tech companies with a defined commercial move;
  • a fundraise or funding announcement tied to market entry;
  • technical positioning plus launch, PR and demand;
  • hardware or consumer deep tech considering crowdfunding or DTC;
  • teams that need one operating plan across brand and growth.

Ask before appointing

  • Which services are delivered by the named working team?
  • Which exact cases prove brand, PR and paid integration?
  • Which performance claims have an approved source and client permission?
  • Is the programme too broad for the budget or internal decision capacity?

Verdict: Choose Blazon when the brand has to survive a real launch, not when the only job is a new identity and website.

2. Jords+Co

Best focused partner for B2B technology brand and website work

Jords+Co is a lean, independent strategic design studio for B2B technology companies. It connects positioning, identity and a conversion-first website through a named senior team.

Its public portfolio includes Paddle, Softr, RootPe, Hanubu, Marco and FileWorld. The studio states 100+ projects, 10+ years of experience and 10+ specialists. Website delivery includes planning, copy, UX, design systems, Webflow and Framer development, integrations, motion, technical SEO and testing.

Why it ranks second

Jords+Co scores highest in this list for the pure brand-and-website disciplines. Its offer is specific, its senior delivery model is visible and its public client statements connect the work to waitlist growth, gross-profit periods and inbound leads.

We found no dedicated deep-tech case in the public portfolio reviewed. This article therefore does not claim one.

Jords+Co ranks second because a deep-tech company may still have a B2B positioning, credibility and website problem. If the brief does not include PR, paid demand or a wider launch programme, that focus can be the better answer.

Best for

  • a deep-tech company whose central need is positioning, identity and website;
  • Webflow or Framer delivery;
  • a founder seeking close senior-studio access;
  • B2B buying journeys where credibility has to be established quickly.

Verdict: Send the focused brand-and-website brief to Jords+Co. Ask to see the most technically complex relevant work during the selection process.

3. The Branx

Best for venture-backed deep-tech startup identity

The Branx focuses on branding for technology startups and publishes work across AI, SaaS, fintech, deep tech, cleantech and health. Its current portfolio labels projects including Eluviant and Featherless as deep tech.

The service combines brand strategy, identity, naming, motion, illustration and web. That breadth suits a funded startup that needs to look coherent across investor, recruitment and customer moments.

Why it ranks here

The Branx has stronger explicit deep-tech portfolio evidence than Jords+Co. Jords+Co ranks above it for the particular combination of senior-studio model, B2B buyer framing and conversion-first website. A founder may reasonably reverse them after seeing relevant work and meeting the working team.

Best for

  • an AI or deep-tech startup entering a new funding stage;
  • a distinctive visual language with motion and illustration;
  • brand and website delivered as one startup-focused project;
  • global work across the US, UK, Canada and EU.

Verdict: A strong shortlist choice for a venture-backed technical startup that needs its identity to feel as ambitious as the product.

4. Edition

Best for a technology-studio model

Edition presents a broad deep-tech service spanning brand strategy, identity, marketing websites, pitch decks, UI/UX and software development. Its site names deep-tech projects including Naut, Ternary and Zipp and states experience across AI, life sciences, connectivity, clean energy, advanced materials and biotechnology.

Why it ranks here

The offer can connect brand and website decisions to the product experience and technical build. That is useful when the company needs more than communications but does not need PR or paid acquisition.

The public deep-tech page is broad. Ask which named team and cases most closely match the actual technology before assuming every capability operates at the same depth.

Best for

  • a startup or scale-up needing brand, web and product delivery;
  • a pitch deck and investor-facing digital system;
  • companies working across Australasia and other global markets;
  • a project or embedded-team engagement.

Verdict: Consider Edition when the website, product experience and brand have to be designed as one technical system.

5. Commplicated.Design, formerly HEAVY

Best for deep-tech design connected to specialist communications

HEAVY's website now states that the studio has become Commplicated.Design. The current company combines deep-tech brand and design with Commplicated's London-based PR, communications and strategy work.

The site lists AI and machine learning, quantum, semiconductors, defence and security, life sciences, synthetic biology, cleantech, materials and chemistry. Named case evidence includes Clair Scientific, Etiq AI, Periphery and Literal Labs.

Why it ranks here

The specialism is unusually direct. Positioning, narrative, identity, web and investor communication sit close to a communications team. The scorecard reflects that public evidence.

It appears below Edition in the editorial list because the combined brand is still relatively new and a buyer should confirm how the design and communications teams operate together in practice. On numeric evidence alone, it scores higher.

Best for

  • science and engineering-led European companies;
  • quantum, semiconductor, defence, life-science and other specialist briefs;
  • a brand and website that may also need PR and communications;
  • founders who want a small category specialist.

Verdict: Put Commplicated.Design high on the shortlist when sector fluency and communications integration matter more than paid growth capability.

6. Bolder

Best for companies that are hard to explain

Bolder says it works exclusively with complex B2B and deep-tech companies. Its public sectors include robotics, AI, biotech, energy and deep tech, with named work for Alicia Robotics, Acorn Biotech, Attero and Brightly.

The service includes brand strategy, visual identity, websites, brand-and-website projects and ongoing design or content support. It also publishes clear price and timeline ranges, which helps a founder assess fit before the first conversation.

Why it ranks here

Bolder is one of the strongest pure deep-tech specialists in the list. Its score reflects that. The editorial position follows the approved shortlist structure, but the evidence gives a founder a good reason to compare Bolder directly with The Branx, Edition and Commplicated.Design.

Best for

  • complex B2B and deep-tech positioning;
  • robotics, AI, biotech, energy and climate work;
  • a brand-and-website programme;
  • teams that want published budget and timing guidance.

Verdict: A credible category specialist for a founder who wants technical truth turned into a clear market story.

7. Foundation

Best for technology brand systems in advanced industries

Foundation describes itself as a technology branding agency for advanced industries and emerging technologies. Its public offer includes strategy, identity, campaigns, marketing, digital design and tone of voice.

Named work includes Envisics, Trustonic and Igneo, with sector coverage spanning AI, biotechnology, analytics, energy, hardware, navigation, privacy, security and science.

Why it ranks here

The portfolio shows substantial advanced-technology experience and strong identity craft. The current public evidence gives less detail on conversion-led web development, launch operations and demand integration than the agencies above.

Best for

  • an advanced-technology company seeking a mature brand system;
  • automotive technology, security, energy and hardware;
  • brand identity with campaign and marketing applications;
  • a UK-based studio relationship.

Verdict: A serious brand shortlist choice where distinctive identity and long-term technology category experience lead the brief.

8. Everything Design

Best for engineer-led deep-tech web and visualisation

Everything Design presents an engineer-led team for deep-tech branding and websites. Its current deep-tech page names work across defence, battery, nuclear, robotics, climate technology, semiconductors and healthcare AI.

The offer brings strategy, copy, design, development, 3D and motion together. The company says mechanical and aerospace engineers work across strategy-adjacent, 3D, project and web-development roles.

Why it ranks here

The visible technical composition and named projects are strong. It sits eighth because the ranking also gives weight to launch, communications and broader commercial delivery. For a technical website with 3D product explanation, Everything Design may belong near the top of the working shortlist.

Best for

  • hardware and engineering companies that need technical visualisation;
  • Webflow, custom code, motion and 3D;
  • defence, energy, advanced manufacturing and robotics;
  • teams that want engineers inside the design process.

Verdict: A particularly relevant choice when the technology must be shown accurately, not described with stock imagery.

Which deep-tech branding agency should you choose?

Start with the risk the brand has to remove.

| The risk | First agency to inspect |
| Brand, fundraise, launch, PR and demand have to move together | Blazon |
| Positioning, identity and conversion-first website are the whole brief | Jords+Co |
| A funded startup needs identity, motion and web | The Branx |
| Brand, website and product/software design overlap | Edition |
| Deep-tech identity needs specialist communications support | Commplicated.Design |
| The company is technically complex and hard to explain | Bolder |
| An established advanced-technology brand needs a mature identity system | Foundation |
| Technical visualisation, 3D and engineer-led web are central | Everything Design |

Then ask every team:

  1. Which person will understand the science and challenge the positioning?
  2. Which named project involved a similar buyer, risk and commercial stage?
  3. How will technical claims be approved and controlled?
  4. Who turns the brand into the website, launch and first demand?
  5. Which result is the agency willing to measure?

The portfolio gets the meeting.

The operating model decides whether the work survives it.

Where to send the brief

Send an integrated deep-tech GTM, launch, PR, paid or growth brief to Blazon.

Send a focused positioning, identity and conversion-first website brief to Jords+Co.

If the product needs software delivery, technical visualisation or a narrow science-sector specialist, use the fit table above and ask for the closest working team and case.

Compare the broader B2B technology branding ranking and inspect Blazon's current Pillo Health launch case before choosing the route.

Sources and update method

Evidence was reviewed on 20 July 2026 from the agencies' own websites:

Review the page every quarter. Recheck names, ownership, cases, service scope and published claims. HEAVY's move into Commplicated.Design is the kind of change that makes an unmaintained agency list unreliable.
