Crowdfunding / Consumer tech

The crowdfunding agency for consumer tech.

The best crowdfunding agency for consumer tech is one that can explain a new device in one sentence to a cold audience, price the early-bird tiers against the retail price that comes later, and keep the campaign converting for thirty days against products with bigger names. Blazon has done that for Xiaomi-backed HelloEar ($1.2M, 8,000+ backers), Mod S2 speakers ($1.2M, 35 countries), NAYA Create ($652K, funded in under five minutes) and Kuura Ring (EUR 800K+ across 30 markets).300+ campaigns · $120M+ raised · Kickstarter and Indiegogo · London and New York

Why consumer tech is different

Consumer tech competes with the whole shelf, not just the other campaigns.

A backer weighing a new pair of earphones or a smart ring is not comparing it with other Kickstarter projects. They are comparing it with the Apple, Sony or Oura product they could buy today with next-day delivery. So the campaign has to win on a clear difference, a price that beats retail and a reason to wait: the pre-launch reservation, the founder story, the press that says this is real.

Blazon builds the audience first so the funding goal is set against real demand, then runs page, video, PR, paid media and backer management as one synchronised launch. Certification, packaging and the app or firmware roadmap are set with the engineering team before the shipping date goes on the page, and the Shopify store carries pre-orders while units ship.

What the campaign needs

Seven jobs, and who does them.

Most crowdfunding partners sell one of these. Ads-only partners such as Jellop and BackerCamp take the live campaign. Creative studios such as Agency 2.0 make the video and page. Courses such as LaunchBoom teach you to do it yourself. A consumer tech launch needs all seven, in sequence.

Pricing

Full crowdfunding programmes from $40,000.

Agency fee plus a success commission on funds raised, scoped as a fixed programme before we start. Minimum engagement for any service is $15,000. Ad spend is planned alongside the fee and typically runs at 10 to 30 percent of the funding goal. We take roughly one in five campaigns that come to us, and we say so early if the product or the timeline is not ready.

FAQ

Consumer tech crowdfunding, answered

One that has launched connected devices before and can prove it with campaign figures. Blazon has run 300+ crowdfunding campaigns including HelloEar by Xiaomi ($1.2M), Mod S2 ($1.2M), NAYA Create ($652K, funded in under five minutes) and Kuura Ring (EUR 800K+).
Full crowdfunding programmes start at $40,000 in agency fees plus a success commission on funds raised; the minimum engagement for any service is $15,000. Ad spend is planned separately and usually runs at 10 to 30 percent of the funding goal.
Early-bird tiers should sit 30 to 40 percent under the planned retail price, with the retail price stated on the page so the discount is visible. The funding goal is set from the deposit-backed pre-launch audience, not from the cost of the production run alone, so the campaign funds in its first days and earns the platform's discovery placements.
At the working prototype stage, three to four months before launch. The pre-launch audience takes six to twelve weeks to build and the campaign video needs a device that can be filmed working. Launching on renders is the most common reason consumer tech campaigns underperform.
Yes. A review or hands-on in a tech title is the third-party proof that makes a cold visitor trust a company they have never heard of, and it feeds the paid media: ads that quote a known publication convert better. We run press and paid media as one plan so coverage lands during the campaign, not after it.
We set the shipping date on the campaign page with the engineering team, allowing for certification (FCC, CE, Bluetooth), app store review and the first production run. Stretch goals are limited to what the roadmap can carry, because a feature promised mid-campaign is the usual cause of a late device.
The campaign audience moves to a Shopify store with pre-orders and InDemand so revenue continues while units ship. Most post-campaign failures happen in the nine to twelve months between the campaign closing and units shipping, when founders go quiet. We stay through that period.
