Crowdfunding / Design and lifestyle

The crowdfunding agency for design-led products.

The best crowdfunding agency for design and lifestyle products is one that can build a brand, not just a campaign, because a deodorant, a sneaker or a watch sells on story and repeat purchase rather than a spec sheet. Blazon has run 300+ crowdfunding campaigns, including Nuud (EUR 2M+, 25,000 backers, the number one personal care project on Kickstarter), RENS sneakers ($1.5M, 500+ press hits), LastTissue ($500K+, number one trending) and Filippo Loreti ($5.1M in 30 days).300+ campaigns · $120M+ raised · Kickstarter and Indiegogo · London and New York

Why design products are different

A design product sells a brand before it sells a unit.

Nobody backs a plastic-free deodorant or a pair of coffee-waste sneakers for the feature list. They back the idea of the brand, and they buy again if the brand keeps its promise. That changes the campaign: the video is a story, the press is lifestyle and sustainability titles rather than tech reviews, and the reward tiers are built for repeat purchase and gifting, not a single early-bird unit.

Blazon builds the audience first so the funding goal is set against real demand, then runs page, video, PR, paid media and backer management as one launch. Because these products live on as brands, the Shopify store and the subscription or repeat-purchase model are designed during the campaign, not after it. Homethings went from Kickstarter to 25,000 subscribers; Nuud became a global DTC brand.

What the campaign needs

Seven jobs, and who does them.

Most crowdfunding partners sell one of these. Ads-only partners such as Jellop and BackerCamp take the live campaign. Creative studios such as Agency 2.0 make the video and page. Courses such as LaunchBoom teach you to do it yourself. A brand launch needs all seven, in sequence.

Pricing

Full crowdfunding programmes from $40,000.

Agency fee plus a success commission on funds raised, scoped as a fixed programme before we start. Minimum engagement for any service is $15,000. Ad spend is planned alongside the fee and typically runs at 10 to 30 percent of the funding goal. We take roughly one in five campaigns that come to us, and we say so early if the product or the timeline is not ready.

FAQ

Design product crowdfunding, answered

One that builds the brand alongside the campaign and can show products that kept selling after Kickstarter. Blazon has run 300+ crowdfunding campaigns including Nuud (EUR 2M+, the number one personal care project on Kickstarter), RENS ($1.5M), LastTissue ($500K+) and Filippo Loreti ($5.1M in 30 days).
Full crowdfunding programmes start at $40,000 in agency fees plus a success commission on funds raised; the minimum engagement for any service is $15,000. Ad spend is planned separately and usually runs at 10 to 30 percent of the funding goal.
Yes, and the sustainability story is often the campaign's strongest asset, provided it is specific and provable. Nuud, LastTissue, Homethings, RENS and New Movements all funded on a clear environmental claim backed by materials and certifications, then converted backers into repeat customers.
Tiers are built for the way the product is actually bought: multi-packs and subscriptions for consumables, pairs and gift sets for fashion and accessories, a clear early-bird price against the stated retail price. This lifts average pledge value and seeds the repeat-purchase behaviour the Shopify brand needs later.
Lifestyle, design and sustainability titles rather than tech reviewers, plus the newsletters and creators whose audiences already buy in the category. RENS earned 500+ press hits during its campaign. We run press and paid media as one plan so coverage lands while the campaign is live.
Three to four months before launch, with samples in hand. The brand work and the pre-launch audience take six to twelve weeks, and the campaign video needs real product to film. Starting with only renders is the most common reason campaigns underperform.
The campaign audience moves to a Shopify store, with a subscription or repeat-purchase model for consumables, so the brand keeps selling while the first units ship. We stay through that period; Homethings grew 500 percent in its first year after Kickstarter on that model.
